Get a little giddy up in your day

What's with the name? Well, I wanted something different and creative, naturally. Somewhat easy to spell. (If you had to look up 'giraffe' shame on you and your US education!) It's kind of an odd concept to me - as if one actively rode giraffes for speed; and I kind of like pairing an action and an object together. (Yes, I pair words as if one were arranging a fruit display.) Of course the odd number of words is attractive, as is odd numbers of flowers in a bouquet or vase. And the "G" repeat is catchy, also the same hard consonant sound as "Jen." Plus I like giraffes. They are the tallest of living quadrupeds (ha!) and kind of goofy looking anyway. (Like what the heck are the two fuzzy stumps coming out of the tops of their heads for?) So there's quite a few humorous pokes to be had at their expense, but don't worry, they can take it. They're pretty chill.

And it's the hour of inspiration. Of course it's in the middle of the night. When else does inspiration strike you? Ok, the shower maybe too.
To be honest, this blog was conceived some days earlier, and only birthed now; amidst a sleepless night, one wraught with creative consciousness. Any creative junkie will admit that the power to create stirs an adrenaline inside that is difficult to ignore until satiated.

But on to more important things. This blog was created for you; as an avenue to dispense my creative perspective, wit, and humor (backed by popular demand!). Ha ha. That's a joke. But not really. If you know this site, that means we've met and perhaps I've struck you in a odd, somewhat quirky, "this girl's weird but funny" way. And I love, scratch that, LIVE to impact others' lives, even if just for a moment, and make their day one ounce brighter and pass out smiles. On my best days I might even give you a small abdominal workout in the way of a good laugh.

So, to all of you wonderful people out there - who I've known a while or met on the way - thank you for showing me the gift I have and together becoming the courage I needed to share this gift with the world for the short time I am on loan here on this earth.

The formalities being said, on to the good stuff!! No really, this blog will be the privately disclosed (but publically accessible) cavern of JEN's jokes as I experience them day to day. It will be my retreat to relieve my comedic constipation! Those few blessed souls who have witnessed my actual live stand up comedy will understand.
